The imperious leader of the only known not almost spheric planet and souvereign of the whole universe, the Ilotoknaspasotwu of Pylon, dictator and tyrant of the mighty pylonian empire, has noticed, that his title might be not really correct.
In an insignificant edge of the cosmos, in a galaxy called with the strange name 'Milky Way' lies in a subsidiary galactical arm a planet called 'Earth' (-which means something like 'floor' or so..)
The inhabitants of this planet - the so called 'humans' - never payed tribute to the emporer of Pylon and - much more worse - it is assumed that the humans never heard of the imperious leader of the only known not almost spheric planet and souvereign of the whole universe.
So the pylonic dictator decided to make an example by destroying this rebellious people.
But the humans are not defenseless because they have a respectable space fleet to defend the solar system. Smart heros in snappy uniforms can reach every edge between Pluto and Sun within a few days with their quick fighter ships.
You are one of these smart guys and your mission is to destroy every enemy force you will be faced in your operation areas. You will travel to the planets and moons of our solar system and fight every enemy resistance.
For your efforts you will be rewarded with a higher ranking or with honor, medals and all this militaristic paraphernalia.
